This past weekend was the spring tourney that Ronnie and I always fish. We fished through some of the worst conditions ever but ended up landing 1st place!
On the first day we started out in the rain and it rained for 6 hours straight, sometimes down pours. We couldn't put together any patterns except for the fish that we caught were in calmer waters (if you could find them). I caught a keeper and a short fish on the sexy shad crank bank (KVD series) and then Ronnie caught a 5.26 on a cotton candy lizard up in Racoon Cove. Later on I caught a 5.42 on a crank bait back between the island at the mouth of the Gravois and the main lake. We closed the day out with 4 fish at 14.56.
On the second day, my brother and his partner Joe Valle had a breakdown in the boat so we spent and hour towing them back to Alhonna. On the way back Ronnie and I fished a cove for 2 keeps (4 and 3.11). We didn't catch anything else the rest of the day but it was enough.

It was a good weekend. Scored 800.00 bucks and punished my brother and Joe for even thinking they could out fish us in our house!
